Playing Thor for decades, Chris Hemsworth says, his godly character is less important when compared to other heroes in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

These remarks come on the heels of the 40-year-old somewhat dissatisfaction with the franchise over his character portrayal for quite some time.

“Sometimes I felt like a security guard for the team,” he told the Vanity Fair. “I would read everyone else’s lines, and go, Oh, they got way cooler stuff. They’re having more fun."

He continued, "What’s my character doing? It was always about, ‘You’ve got the wig on. You’ve got the muscles. You’ve got the costume. Where’s the lighting?’ " adding, "Yeah, I’m part of this big thing, but I’m probably pretty replaceable.”

Not to mention, Chris, unlike most of his early peers, is still reprising his role but nonetheless, the actor seems to be unsatisfied with his character arc.

“I got caught up in the improv and the wackiness, and I became a parody of myself,” he told the magazine. “I didn’t stick the landing.”
