Nia Sioux recently revealed a simple reason for not attending the Dance Moms reunion special.

According to People Magazine, the 22-year-old star took to TikTok on Wednesday, May 1, and spoke out in a now-deleted video about the Dance Moms: The Reunion, airing on Lifetime today.

While responding to a comment that read, "Why weren't you at the Dance Moms reunion?" Sioux explained, “Personally, I wasn't going to say anything 'cause I just didn't want to start drama — not that this would even start drama; it really shouldn't. And also, I didn't want to make it because I don't want it to seem like I'm searching for attention because I really don't care."

"I really don't need the attention. Hate to break it to you guys, but the reason is quite simple. I just really didn't want to do it," Nia noted.

She continued, "Yeah, it's pretty plain and simple. I just didn't want to do it. I just didn't want to do it, and that's a good enough answer and that's a good enough reason."

Moreover, the former reality star mentioned that she has always been grateful for the show saying, “It's where I came from. It's how I got my start. It's the reason why I have such an amazing life now.”

However, Nia denied any kind of hate for her former castmates, “I love the girls, and I'm really happy for them, and I'm really happy that they get to share how they felt or their experiences.”

It is pertinent to mention that other Dance Moms’ alums who were not among attendees in the special reunion also include sisters Maddie and Kenzie Ziegler who were part of the reality dance show from 2011 to 2016.
