Keith Urban just launched the third track of his forthcoming album, his first project after 2020’s The Speed of Now Part 1.
His latest song, titled, GO HOME W U, is a duet with none other that the country music artist, Lainey Wilson.
The two country icons worked together to perform a laid-back collaboration harmonizing their vocals and trading words about forgetting the problems of life and "livin' large in a small-town bar."
“I wrote GO HOME W U in 2020 with BRELAND, Sam [Sumser] and Sean [Small],” Urban said, according to a press release shared with PEOPLE magazine.
“Before we knew it, we were writing a chorus that could be sung by any drunk person in any bar anywhere in the world," Urban added.
Additionally, Urban’s song did not originally begin as a duet, but speaking of Wilson, he stated, “A friend of mine suggested the idea of making the song a duet and I immediately thought of Lainey. Besides the fact that I love her voice, she’s got the swagger and attitude that fit so well with the song."
