Gabrielle Union feels 'so much anxiety' ahead of 2024 Met Gala

Gabrielle Union opened up about her experience at the Met Gala, ahead of its 2024 event on Monday, May 6.

During an exclusive interview with PEOPLE Magazine while promoting her new collaboration with Knix, the 51-year-old actress talked about her love for the Met Gala and revealed the ‘nerve wracking’ part of the event.

"I love that part," she said, noting about walking the red carpet. "I think it's nerve wracking for a lot of people, but when you really f*** with a designer and you really love leaning into their creativity and their interpretation of the theme and you are a conduit of somebody else's artistic freedom and expression that also matches your own, it's a f****** awesome."

The Truth Be Told actress expressed her love for the red carpet walk, saying, "A lot of people want to rush through it, not me. They literally are like, 'all right, Gab, move it up the stairs.' Because I love it. I love it. I absolutely love it."

She further admitted being in a room full of stars makes her feel nervous stating, "It can be a little nerve wracking if you don't know everyone at your table or something like that."

Despite Gabrielle saying the event "can be nerve-wracking," she enjoys leaning "into the experience."
