US drone strikes kill 16 in SWA

WANA: At least sixteen people were killed and seven injured in US drone strikes in South Waziristan Agency.

According to sources, the drones fired eight missiles in the Babar Ghar area of the agency. Three houses were destroyed and locals rushed to the site to remove the rubble and search for survivours.

According to reports, Taliban commander Tufan Mehsud who is a cousin of Tehreek-e-Taliban chief Hamikullah Mehsud might have been killed in the drone strikes.

Following the attack, drones were seen hovering over the area.
