ISLAMABAD: Indian High Commissioner, Sharat Sabharwal was summoned to the Foreign Office on Friday to lodge a protest over the death of a soldier in a firing incident at the Line of Control (LoC).

The Indian High Commissioner was served a demarche by Foreign Secretary Jalil Abbas Jilani for Thursday’s incident in which a Pakistani soldier was killed when Indian forces fired at the Tatta Pani sector on the LoC.

Foreign Secretary Jilani said India should investigate the ceasefire violations, adding that such incidents were unacceptable.
