Apple is said to be working on an iPhone thinner than the current versions, and maybe costlier than ever, reported Tech Spot Sunday.

The new iPhone is expected to launch in September 2025, according to the outlet, and the price is estimated to start from $1,200.

The current estimates suggest that the amount to buy the slimmer iPhone is more than an iPhone Pro Max's price.

The new iPhone would be substituting the iPhone 17 series which failed to fulfil the expectations of the American tech giant but the iPhone 16 series will be available for customers.

The outlet reported that the claimed design was compared to an iPhone X-level jump forward with a completely new aesthetic.

The California-based giant is also exploring options for its new product such as an aluminum chassis, and the reports regarding the size is said to be between 6.12 and 6.669 inches — in between the current base iPhone and iPhone Pro Max, Tech Sport said.

It remains unclear how thin the device would be amid the recent rolling out of the new iPad Pro — the thinnest Apple product ever.

On the other hand, the iPhone 16 is set to be public in September with a focus on AI features and minor changes in design.
