Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg, one of the world’s top 10 richest individuals, maintains a simple lifestyle that aligns with the average person.

However, while the social media executive does spend jaw-dropping amounts of money on some items, he continues to live a less-than-opulent lifestyle.

Here are four things he won't waste money on.

Expensive clothes

Despite criticism for his casual work attire, Zuckerberg, 40, has remained consistent in his t-shirt, hoodie, and jeans, which he wears to the Facebook offices daily.

His low-key apparel was a choice to help him reduce the number of decisions he had to make each day, which apparently includes what to wear in the morning.

Luxury vehicles

The tech billionaire is also known for driving less than luxurious vehicles, despite being capable of owning a fleet of them. According to some reports, he at one time owned a Honda Fit and a Volkswagen Golf MK6.

According to experts, the rich often drive cheap cars as many of them value practicality and functionality over luxury.

Extravagant weddings

Just one day after Facebook went public, Zuckerberg tied the knot with Priscilla Chan, 39, in their Palo Alto backyard, in a hush-hush wedding, with guests believing they were attending Chan’s medical school graduation party.

The understated affair was catered by local restaurants and likely costing way less than the typical billionaire weddings.

Huge salary

The Meta founder doesn't spend money on a salary for himself.

In 2023, he made a salary of only $1, carrying on the tradition that he set a decade earlier.

Most of his earnings are classified as "other compensation." The majority of the compensation is spent on security for Zuckerberg, according to the report.
