ISLAMABAD: Information Minister Qamar Zaman Kaira said that the allies have decided that no undemocratic steps will be taken and elections will be held on time.
Speaking to the media after the allies meeting held in Islamabad, Kaira said a government committee tasked with negotiating with Dr Tahirul Qadri will hold talks with Qadri today after he agreed to meet with the committee giving them 45 minutes to reach the march.
Kaira further added that the government committee’s mandate was to hold talks with Qadri and solve all those issues which were solvable.
The government committee tasked with negotiating with Dr Tahirul Qadri includes Federal Minister Khurshid Shah, MQM leader Farooq Sattar, PML-Q Chief Chaudhry Shujaat, Law Minister Farooq Naek, Federal Minister Babar Ghauri, Federal Minister Makhdoom Amin Fahim, Senator Mushahid Hussain, Senator Abbas Afridi and Information Minister Qamar Zaman Kaira.
