KARACHI: Health condition of Muttahida Qaumi Movement leader Rashid Godil, who was critically injured in an armed attack last week, further improved as medics fed him some tea and fluids orally.

Hospital administration says decision to shift the lawmaker from the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) would be taken on Monday after monitoring his condition.

Anjum Rizvi, a spokesman for the medical facility, said blood flow and heartbeat of the patients are normal and his condition is improving.

Four attackers on motorcycles opened fire on the car of the lawmaker last Tuesday, critically wounding him and killing his driver.

The MQM leader was shot five times in the jaw, chin and chest, doctors said.
