KARACHI: Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has announced the suspension of mobile phone services in 51 cities of Punjab on the occasion of Eid Milad-un-Nabi (SAW) on Friday from 8 AM to 10 PM, Geo news reported.

According to the sources, Karachi, Hyderabad and Khairpur would face cellular services suspension in Sindh.

In Punjab province, the services would remain suspended in Lahore, Shaikhupura, Gujranwala, Sialkot, Rawalpindi Multan, Rahim Yar Khan, Muzaffargarh and Rajinpur, Attock, Chakwal, Sargodha, Okara, Faisalabad, Pak Patan, Dera Ghazi Khan, Laiya, Bahwalpur among 51 cities.

Meanwhile, Balochistan Home Secretary Akbar Durrani also said that mobile phone services would remain halted in Quetta on Friday.
