TOKYO: Tokyo stocks were mixed on Monday morning as investors locked in profits after the benchmark Nikkei 225 index briefly jumped
past the 11,000 mark for the first time in nearly three years.

The Nikkei slipped 0.08 percent, or 9.25 points, to 10,917.40 by the break after a weaker yen helped it push past 11,000 for the first time since April 2010. The Topix index of all first-section shares was up 0.31 percent, or 2.86 points, to 919.95.
