OCCUPIED SRINAGAR: At least 138 passengers finally reached their respective destinations after a cross-border bus service between Pakistan and India, suspended along with trade after LoC ceasefire violation by India earlier this month, resumed Monday after 17 days, Geo News report.

Director General Trade and Travel Authority Brig (Retd) Ismael Khan told Geo News the cross-border bus service and trade between both the neighbouring countries had been restored with an ease in the tensions started after Indian forces repeated violation of ceasefire agreement across Line of Control (LoC).

“The trade and travel would continue if the conditions remained favorable”, said he.

After the resumption of service, around 79 passengers stuck in India crossed the de facto border in Indian Occupied Kashmir (IoK) to reach Pakistan while 44 went in the other direction.

Among those who left for Indian Held Kashmir (IHK) are also 15 new Pakistani passengers.
