Karachi: Firing incidents kill one, injure another

KARACHI: A person was killed while another injured in two separate incidents of firing in the metropolis, police said.

According to the Malir Police, unidentified armed assailants shot dead a man of age 42 near Jinnah Square. The police sources said that the fire was opened at people sitting outside a house.

In another incident of firing, a man was injured in Ghas Mandi area.

Meanwhile, DIG West said that police arrested an accused in injured condition after an encounter in Haroonabad area of SITE.

A 9mm pistol and a motorcycle were recovered from the possession of the accused, DIG West added.
