MQM demands Malik to improve Karachi law and order situation

KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) expressing concerns worse law and order situation in Karachi demanded Federal Interior Minister Rehman Malik to take immediate measures for maintaining peace in the city.

MQM leader Mustafa Azizabadi said that terrorists in Karachi are operating independently. He said that he is in contact with Rehman Malik, adding that latter has assured that steps are being taken to improve the situation.

He said that the interior minister had triggered tensions in the city by giving statement regarding new wave of violence in the metropolis.
