Karachi receives rain after parts of Punjab, KP

LAHORE: After Lahore among various parts of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Karachi also received rain on Sunday night while meteorological department forecast that the rainfall would continue with intervals in upper parts of the country during next 24 hours.

Rainfall in Lahore that began on the day continued to lash late night, as a result, the rainwater stood up in low-lying areas while intensity of cold has also increased.

Shaikhupura received heavy rainfalls while Gujranwala got light rain. The Met office forecast more rains during next 24 hours in parts of Punjab.

Meanwhile, rain also reached various parts of Karachi late on Sunday night, turning the weather pleasant. The met office said that 6mm rainfall was measured in Old City Area while 5.2mm at airport.

More rains are likely in Karachi today.
