CUTTACK: Pakistan lost the last match of their ICC Women’s World Cup campaign against India by 6 wickets to finish at 8th position.

Chasing 193 to win the Indians got the required runs without to much trouble. Mithali Raj was the star of the Indian batting scoring a brilliant unbeaten century of 144 balls with 13 fours and a six. MDT Kamini with 26 and R Malhotra with 25 notout played well around Mithali to take their team to a comfortable victory.

None of the Pakistan bowlers were able to make any impact, however Qanita, Bismah and Nida were able to get a wicket apiece.

Earlier the Pakistan batting managed to reach 192/7 which eventually proved not enough.

The super six stage of the women’s event starts from February 8.
