KARACHI: British experts have informed authorities in Sindh that only one out of three shooters, who killed two clerics and a student of the city’s prominent seminary in broad day light on Shahrea Faisal could be identified from images captured by a CCTV camera.
The Sindh police had sent the footage to the UK to seek foreign help in identifying the killers.
British officials responded to the Sindh police request thorough an email, a copy of which is also available with Geo News, that the other attackers could not be identified through the footage.
Three unknown assailants on January 31, fired shots at a van carrying Mufti Addul Majeed Deenpuri and Mufti Saleh Muhammad, both senior faculty members of Jamia Binori along with a student, and rode away.
The killings sparked outrage and religious parties observed a shutter down strike warning the government of more protests if the killers were not arrested.
