KARACHI: Inspector General of Sindh Police Fayyaz Ahmad Leghari has directed the city police to utilize all available resources effectively for crime control in the metropolis.
Chairing a meeting to review law and order situation in the city here on Wednesday, he directed the officials concerned to deploy the personnel of Rapid Response Force and Sindh Reserve Police (SRP) at all sensitive points of the city.
The IGP said that 30 vehicles of Mohafaz Force and 35 of SRP have been placed at the disposal of city police to maintain law and order.
The meeting also reviewed the report about the performance of Karcahi police from January 1 to February 15.
It was stated in the report that 102 dacoits were arrested while 10 others were killed in the encounters with police in different parts of the city.
The report stated that 123 accused involved in murders while 1888 absconders and proclaimed offenders were arrested by the city police during the period. (APP)
