Shahzeb murder case: SC apprised of findings

ISLAMABAD : The Supreme Court resumed hearing of Shahzeb Khan murder case today (Thursday), where the investigating officer apprised the court about the findings of the ongoing probe into the case, Geo News reported.

During proceedings, the police informed the court that Shahrukh Jatoi’s birth certificate has been verified while the weapon used in the murder is in police custody and its forensic report has confirmed that bullets fired from the particular weapon caused Shahzeb’s death.

The investigating officer further informed the bench that the weapon was kept hidden under the spare wheel of the car of Shahrukh’s brother.

The bench asked whether the vehicle was in the name of Shahrukh’s brother. The officer responded that it was not, and was being used on an open-letter.

The Chief Justice remarked, that vehicles being driven on open-letters are used in criminal activities and this practice must be stopped immediately.
