MQM announces protest against Pir Mazhar remarks

KARACHI: The Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) has announced that it would hold protest demonstrations across Sindh against the Sindh Education Minister remarks that he would not let anybody establish a public sector University in Hyderabad.

In a late night statement the MQM Coordination Committee said protest demonstrations would be held in all the cities of Sindh including Karachi and Hyderabad. It said a protest demonstration would be held outside the Karachi Press Club at 3:00 pm.

The MQM said that Pir Mazhar Ul Haq laid down foundation to divide Sindh by opposing establishment of university in Hyderabad.

It said the historians should note as to who was aiming to divide Sindh, adding that the remarks were an open enmity with the province.
