Police arrest 19 accused; 5 abducted children recovered

LAHORE: Police arrested 19 accused in a crackdown against criminals and recovered stolen valuables worth hundreds of thousands of rupees from them in one week.

In a drive against motorcycle snatchers, police arrested three accused and recovered three motorcycles from them. Police arrested two people with 600 litre liquor.

Similarly, police also smashed a gang of swindlers and arrested its two members including the ringleader and recovered Rs 600,000 in cash from the accused.

Police arrested two accused of a dacoit gang and recovered a stolen motorcycle besides illegal weapons.

They also arrested four culprits including a woman involved in printing of fake foreign currency and ATM cards in Icchra.

Police raided and arrested accused and recovered fake dollars, passports, ATM cards and machinery from their possession.

Data Darbar police claimed to have arrested Maulvi Jabbar and his accomplice Mehmood and recovered five children from their custody.

The accused had abducted Fayyaz, Nazim, Boota, Imran and Zubair from Data Darbar and detained them in Pir Makki and also abused them. (APP)
