Election Commission will send degrees to HEC for verification: Naek

ISLAMABAD: The Parliamentary Committee and Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) have agreed on the verification process for educational certificates and degrees for candidates of the upcoming general elections.

Following the meeting, Federal Law Minister Farooq Naek said the ECP will have the degrees verified by the Higher Education Commission (HEC).

According to Naek, candidates whose documents were fake would not be allowed to contest in the elections.
