ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Police have been asked to launch effective crackdown against car thieves as well receivers by constituting special teams to ensure their arrest and also take prompt action to stop auto theft incidents with high vigilance at important markets, shopping areas and exit points of the city.`

These directions were made by Senior Superintendent of Police Islamabad Yaseen Farooq while chairing a meeting at his office held to review the performance of various police zones and steps being taken by police stations to curb crime incidents in their respective areas.

SP Industrial Area Muhammad Ishaq Warraich, ASP Secretariat Muhammad Hassan, ASP Industrial area Yasir Afridi, SP Gulfam Nasir, DSP City and Station House Officers of various police stations were also present on the occasion.

The SSP directed all police officials to adopt professional as well as
responsible attitude to mitigate the sufferings of the people.

He also reviewed the progress of all police officials and ordered to
devise an effective strategy to control crime.

Yaseen Faroooq directed police officials to constitute special police teams for patrolling and vigilance to stop car theft incidents and send policemen to other districts for recovery of vehicles stolen and driven away from Islamabad.
