Pakistan’s top judge lauds Geo News’ Kamran Khan

KARACHI: Pakistan’s top judge was all praise for veteran journalist Kamran Khan, who hosts a show ‘Aaj Kamran Khan k Sath’ at Geo News, for his role in highlighting government’s apathy in addressing Karachities woes in the aftermath of deadly bombing in Abbas town that killed over 45 people.

“Had government been serious, it would have suspended IG and others, Kamran Khan has opened our eyes,” Chief Justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry who heads a three-judge bench to hear a suo motu case remarked.

The CJ lauded the senior journalist for what he said his sincere efforts.

Talking to Geo News, Khan said that the Federal Interior Minister Rehman Malik had earlier informed about terror threats and the Sindh government had failed in discharging its duties to thwart the attack.

He said the Sindh government officials didn’t visit the victims of the horrific blast following the incident.

Kamran Khan said that a few police officers could not be blamed for the incident.
