KARACHI: The Sindh Government has removed the IG Sindh Police and DIG East, notifying that their services have been returned to the federal government.
This came after the Supreme Court bench hearing the Karachi Law & Order Case had remarked, that if the DG Rangers and IG Sindh had any shame they would have resigned from their posts.
During proceedings the court had been informed that after consultation with the Chief Minister it had been decided that services of the IG Sindh and the DIG East will be returned back to the Federal Government.
Soon after the court adjourned for the day, the Sindh Home department issued a notification confirming that the services of the IG Sindh Fayyaz Laghari and DIG East Aleem Jafri have been transferred back to the Federal Government.
