KARACHI: Rangers launched an operation in Lyari on Thursday, Geo News reported.
According to sources, 1000 Rangers personnel are taking part in the operation flanked by over a dozen Armoured Personnel Carriers (APC). Twenty two entry and exit points to Lyari have been sealed by Rangers personnel.
Eight people have been arrested during the operation, while protests are taking place in several areas of the locality.
The operation is being conducted in Moosa Lane, Baghdadi, Lee Market, and Ath Chowk against criminals and members of the Lyari gang war.
It is important to mention that two tortured bodies recovered earlier on Thursday, were identified as Rangers intelligence personnel Munir Baloch and Aijaz Ahmed.
