KARACHI: Chief Minister Sindh Qaim Ali Shah and Opposition Leader Sardar Ahmad have signed the document pertaining to the caretaker setup in the province.

Following a joint news conference, Chief Minister Shah announced that Justice (retd) Zahid Qurban Alvi would be the caretaker chief minister adding that he was a neutral personality.

Justice (retd) Alvi is expected to be sworn in as the caretaker chief minister on Thursday and the oath would be administered by Governor Dr Ishrat ul Ebad.

Meanwhile the summary to hold elections for the Sindh Assembly has also been approved by the governor. Provincial assembly elections will be held on May 11 the same day as the general elections.
