One killed, two injured in Karachi violence

KARACHI: A young man was killed and two others were injured in different acts of violence in the city on Monday.

A young man bearing torture marks was found dead near a drain in Mauripur within the limits of Mauripur police station. The body was shifted to Civil Hospital Karachi for medico-legal formalities. The identity of the victim could not be ascertained yet. Police said the body was three-day-old.

Separately, Muhammad Fahim, 22, son of Irshad, was injured in firing by unidentified armed men in Landhi No. 4 within the remit of Landhi police station. The injured was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center for treatment.

Similarly, a man, Ziauddin, son of Salahuddin, was injured in firing by unknown bike riders near Shaheen Hotel in Shershah in the premises of Shershah police station. The injured was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for treatment.
