IED planted near UNICEF office diffused

PESHAWAR: A terror attempt was foiled here Monday when the Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) diffused Improvised Explosive Device (IED) planted on a roadside near a restaurant on park road in university town Peshawar.

According to police, a passer- by noticed an IED planted on roadside opposite a restaurant and near UNICEF provincial office and informed police about it.

The police informed BDS that reached the spot and diffused the bomb around 11:30 am.

It is pertinent to mention here that national and international NGOs and UN organizations are located in university town Peshawar that are providing humanitarian services to the marginalized and neglected segments. (APP)
