Administration accelerates pre-polls anti-encroachment drive

PESHAWAR: On the directives of Deputy Commissioner (DC) district administration accelerated pre-election anti-encroachment drive in the city, said a press release issued here Tuesday.

According to details, DC Peshawar, Mohammad Javed Marwat while taking notice of the massive encroachments on Dalazak Road and parking of the vehicles of Rent-A Car directed Additional Assistant Commissioner (AAC)-I, Habibullah Arif and AAC-II, Hafiz Ahmad Kamal for taking action.

AAC-I and II while taking action along with demolishing staff of the Municipal Corporation Peshawar (MCP) demolished encroachments and also arrested 25 persons including five owners of the Rent-A-Car services.

During the action goods displayed outside shops were confiscated while detailed report of the action has been presented to DC Peshawar.

DC Peshawar has directed all additional assistant commissioners for initiating pre-election anti-encroachments drive and presentation of report in this regard on daily bases.
