20 lawbreakers including four gamblers arrested

RAWALPINDI: Rawalpindi Police have arrested 20 lawbreakers including four gamblers and seized 2785 grams charras, 175 grams heroin, six bottles of liquor, two pistols 30 bore with 13 rounds, one carbean 12 bore with three rounds and two stolen mobile phones from the possession of the arrested accused.

According to police spokesman, Taxila police arrested Abid on recovery of 1020 grams charras while Zahid was sent behind the bars for having 1010 grams charras. Two other accused namely Esah and Munir were netted with 120 and 150 grams charras. Saddar Wah police held Waseem and recovered 115 grams charras.

Race Course police arrested Imran with four bottles of liquor. Taxila police recovered two liquor bottles from Ehram. Other accused were netted for having drugs and illegal weapons. Gunjmandi police held Abdul Kareem and Rafique as two stolen mobile phones were recovered from them.

Meanwhile, Sadiqabad police acting on a tip-off conducted a raid at Sadiqabad Chowk and caught four gamblers namely Shahid, Behram, Amir and Rehman red-handed as they were found involved in betting while playing cards. Police recovered Rs 11,000 stake money and other items from their possession.
