To become a king is the dream of any royal prince. Given this, it was expected to feel "anxious" before the coronation. King Charles was no different.
In the documentary Coronation Girls, he recalled feeling anxious about the crown, which, due to its heavy weight, he slightly feared would fall from his head.
"You have to get used to how heavy [the crown] is," the 76-year-old remembered. "I've never forgotten, I can still remember it vividly."
"It is very important to wear it for a certain amount of time because you get used to it then," Charles continued. "But the big one that you're crowned with, the St Edward's Crown, it weighs 5lbs."
"It is much heavier and taller, so there's always that feeling of feeling slightly anxious, in case it wobble. You have to carry it, you have to look straight ahead," he noted.
According to BBC, Charles wore the 17th Century golden St Edward's Crown at the coronation, which weighed 4.9lb (2.23kg).
He also wore the Imperial State Crown, which also weighs more than a kilogram.
