Sophia Bush is soaking up her time working on the One Tree Hill reboot she's helming with the help of Hilarie Burton.
Bush talked about the reboot during her appearance on Glee alumni Kevin McHale and Jenna Ushkowitz’s podcast And That's What You REALLY Missed.
"I will say is it has been the most inclusive process,” Bush said. “And that is something I really cherish.”
Bush, who played the stylish Brooke Davis in the hit show, explained: “What's been really special is to be able to be in the sort of original group of our family. And hear everyone's excitement and everyone's trepidation and why people are into it and why they're afraid of it and what they would want and what they would need.”
"The thing that I think is the coolest is, you know, everyone's gone on to write, produce, direct, be so creative,” she said.
The John Tucker Must Die star noted that it’s been “really beautiful” working on the reboot with old friends and learning “from amazing women.”
Bush added that it’s great to find out “what everyone wants their characters to be doing now.”
“Even if through this development process, let's say we don't wind up shooting this thing. What it's given me — the world-building I've seen — from all the women and all the men who helped build the show from the first season, it's like my heart feels really full,” she gushed.
“I feel like I've gotten to see it, even if no one else ever does,” she said of the reboot. “And that's the thing that I cherish.”
“So wherever it goes, it's really been a gift,” she shared.
Sophia Bush was joined in One Tree Hill cast by Hilarie Burton, Bethany Joy Lenz, Chad Michael Murray and James Lafferty.
