KARACHI: At least six people including a police constable was among six shot dead in different acts of violence here on Monday.
According to details, at least three people were killed and two others injured in firing by unidentified outlaws near Lasbela roundabout in the jurisdiction of Jamshaid Quarter police station.
The rescue sources said that the incident took place near a hotel situated in Lasbela Chowrangi, where a police constable Javaid Awan 45, and Iqbal 35, were killed in the firing incident on the spot, while three people including Jawaid, Shahzad and Iqbal, sustained bullet wounds.
The bodies and injured were rushed to Civil Hospital Karachi for autopsies and treatment respectively, where one of injured Shahzad succumbed to injuries.
In another incident of violent crime, an unidentified man stabbed to death one Zahid, 30, son of Riaz, a resident of Sohrab Goth to death near UBL Complex Gulshan-e-Iqbal. The body was taken to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital (ASH) for medico legal formalities.
Similarly, a 42-year-old man Arshid son of Amjad, resident of PIB Colony was killed in firing by unknown assailants near Karsaz area. The body was brought to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for medico-legal formalities.
In another incident, a 35-year-old man Ashfaq son of Saeed Ahmed was fired to death by unidentified armed man near City School, Khawaja Ajmer Nagari area within the jurisdiction of Khawaja Ajmer Nagari police station.
The body was taken to ASH for autopsy. (PPI)
