KARACHI: The death toll from a blast which took place near the camp office of the Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) here on Tuesday has risen to four. The MQM is observing a day of mourning across Sindh following the blast.
MQM chief Altaf Hussain while slamming the attack on the party's election office at the People's Chowrangi, directed the Coordination Committee to close all the election offices of the party, for the time being, in view of threats of further attacks.

Altaf said in a statement that it was the duty of the Election Commission and the caretaker government to maintain peace and order. He regretted that over 25 MQM members and office-bearers, including an election candidate, had fallen victim to the unending wave of terrorism.
