Russia : 38 people killed psychiatric hospital fire

MOSCOW : A fire broke out on Friday in a psychiatric hospital killing at least 38 people including two members of staff.

According to reports, the fire broke out on the roof and spread rapidly throughout the hospital wing in the small town of Ramensky approximately 40 kilometers from Moscow.

Health Ministry Officials added, that the residents of the hospital wing suffocated to death while they slept as the fire spread rapidly through the wooden building, although three managed to escape in the early stages of the blaze.
