Dwayne Johnson opened up about a "massive fight" with his father Rocky 'Soulman' Johnson on his the fifth anniversary of his death.

The 52-year-old actor and wrestler took to his official Instagram to the details of his relationship dynamic with his father before his passing.

The Moana2actor expressed his greatest regret of not reconciling with his father Soulman before his death as they had a "massive" alteration on Christmas Eve of 2019 on his phone which "wasn't good."

"Man, I just wish that I could hug him one more time and kiss him on the cheek and look him in the eyes and say, 'We're good,'" the Jumanji actor began to say in the video.

"All that other s***? You realize it just doesn't matter when they're gone, especially when they're gone. That s***, whatever you were arguing about, it really doesn't matter," Johnson said, urging, "I don't want that for you guys."

The half-Samoan, quarter-Black star explained, "He loved me with all he had. I didn't realize that until much later in life. And once he was gone, I really realized that."

"So if you've got your old man around, get uncomfortable, and pull him aside and say, 'Let's do our best to kind of squash this.' In the effort of trying, you should reach a new place of love," he advised.

The actor's father died in 2020 at the age of 75, at the time Johnson was shooting for the film Red Notice and received a call from a friend, giving him the dismal news.

Johnson, who is a "proud girl dad", is father to 23-year-old daughter Simone whom he shares with ex-wife Dany Garcia, and two younger daughters Jasmine, 9, and Tiana, 6, with current wife Lauren Hashian.
