Justin Baldoni recently accused Blake Lively of dominating the wardrobe choices on the set of It Ends With Us.
While labelling it as her “manipulative behavior”, the 40-year-old actor in his fresh counter lawsuit claimed that her alleged efforts to take over wardrobe choices led to issues with Sony, distributer of the film.
As per report by In Touch, Baldoni claimed that it all started on the first day of principal production, on May 15, 2023, when Lively “began to assert control over aspects of the film beyond her role as an actor and outside the scope of her contractual entitlements”.
The Jane the Virgin actor said that despite keeping in mind that lead actors are indeed “sometimes granted approval” over the general “look”, still, “typically does not include full control over wardrobe decisions without input from the director and producers”.
According to Baldoni, the Gossip Girl alum overstepped these boundaries, and sidelined the production’s costume designer.
In his filing, which was made on January 16, the Five Feet Apart director also claimed the The Age of Adaline actress’ wardrobe designer had to re-shop her wardrobe, “far exceeding the allocated budget and diverting time and resources”.
Moreover, the A Simple Favor actress refused to participate in wardrobe fittings at the production office, which was “a mere 15 minutes away from her” home in Tribeca, according to the filing.
Blake Lively accused Justin Baldoni of sexual harassment in December 2024.
She also claimed that her costar tried to start a smear campaign against her back in August.
In his response, Justin Baldoni recently hit back at Lively with a counter lawsuit for $400 million.
