KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) declared Sunday as a day of mourning across the province of Sindh, hours after twin bomb attacks in Orangi Town near MQM office that killed at least two persons and injured 25 others on Saturday.

Similar bomb attacks earlier this week targeted an election camp and an office of MQM, killing several people and injuring dozens others. The proscribed Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) had claimed responsibility of the attacks.

A bomb explosion on Friday attacked representatives of Awami National Party (ANP) near its office in Mominabad area of Korangi in which 11 people where killed and over 40 others hurt.

The TTP had earlier declared democracy ‘un-Isalmic’ and issued threats of attack on MQM, Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and Awami National Party (ANP).
