Army deployment plan for election approved: ISPR

RAWALPINDI: A special conference of the Corps Commanders chaired by Army Chief General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani was held here on Monday. During the meeting, the plan for army deployment to provide security during the election was approved.

According to the ISPR, the security needs of the Election Commission, federal and provincial governments were discussed during the conference.

Earlier the Home Secretary of Balochistan told Geo News that the army and FC would be deployed in nine sensitive districts of the province during the election.
