The original led to the release of one of the singer’s most viral songs, What’s Love Got to Do With It which went on to steal the top spot on the Billboard Hot 100.

Going on to sell 10 million copies, the album won three Grammys, one of which was for Record of the Year for What’s Love Got To Do With It.

Tina Turner passed away at the age of 83 due to a long-term illness in 2023.

After her tragic passing, a post was shared to her Instagram that read, "With her music and her boundless passion for life, she enchanted millions of fans around the world and inspired the stars of tomorrow.”

They added, “Today we say goodbye to a dear friend who leaves us all her greatest work: her music."
