ISLAMABAD: Secretary Election Commission, Ishtiaq Ahmed said the polling scheme has been finalised, adding that all complaints regarding polling schemes will be tackled by tomorrow (Friday).

While speaking to the media outside the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP), Ahmed said voters can text their CNIC numbers to 8300 on May 6 to obtain details of their polling stations.

The Secretary Election Commission also said that mobile phones services will not be suspended on election day.

While addressing the issue of security arrangements for May 11, Ahmed said security was the responsibility of the government, adding that the ECP hopes that the security plans discussed with the government for candidates and polling stations will be followed.

Speaking about giving overseas Pakistanis the facility to vote in the upcoming elections, Ahmed said that the ECP was still waiting for a written order from the Supreme Court.
