KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) has announced to observe Sunday as a day of mourning across Sindh following the twin blasts that targeted its office here in Azizabad area, which also houses the party’s headquarters, Nine Zero.
The announcement came from the party following the twin blasts at MQM’s office that killed 3 people and injured more than 30 others.
The MQM’s Coordination Committee in a statement issued here, appealed to the transporters to keep their vehicles off the roads and business community and shopkeepers to keep their businesses and outlets closed on Sunday.
The outlawed Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) claimed responsibility of today’s bombings, just the way it did in the past weeks following similar attacks. TTP spokesman Ehsanullah Ehsan took the credit of the bombings, reportedly, on the telephone.
