ISLAMABAD: The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (Ogra) has been urged by the local refineries to postpone import of high speed diesel and motor spirit till March, owing to enough stock with them.

The refineries said they had adequate stock of diesel and petrol to provide for the needs of the country for 39 and 36 days, respectively.

On February 11, 2025, the Ogra received a letter signed by the managing directors of five refineries: Pak Arab Refinery Company Limited (Parco), Cnergyico Pakistan Limited (CPL), National Refinery Limited (NRL), Pakistan Refinery Limited (PRL), and Attock Refinery Limited (ARL). The letter also brought up the issue of oil marketing companies (OMCs)’s not uplifting POL [petrol, oil, lubricant] products.
