JUI-F leader Mufti Kifayatullah arrested over hate speech in Punjab

CHINIOT: Authorities on Thursday took senior Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam Fazl (JUI-F) leader Mufti Kifayatullah into custody for delivering a hate speech, sources said on Thursday.

The cleric has been shifted to an undisclosed location by the counter-terrorism department (CTD) of Punjab.

The report of arrest comes when the country is waging a war against terrorism with federal government and the military leadership expressing the resolve to implement National Action Plan (NAP) that also calls for an end to hate speech.
