ISLAMABAD: Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has dismissed plea for re-polling in entire NA-250 in Karachi, Geo News reported.

Earlier, the commission had reserved the verdict on the application seeking re-polling in NA-250 of Karachi.

Chief Election Commissioner Fakhruddin G Ebrahim heard the case. During the hearing, Deputy Convener of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) Dr Farooq Sattar, Babar Ghauri and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) candidate Arif Alvi were also present in the commission.

The ECP verdict states that re-polling will only occur at the earlier announced 43 polling stations in the NA-250 constituency on 19 May.

New ballot papers have been printed for the re-poll and polling materials will be distributed to the polling stations on 18 May. Polling officers will also report to the polling stations a day before voting day.
