Rajeev Shukla resigns as IPL chairman

NEW DELHI: Indian Premier League (IPL) chairman Rajeev Shukla has resigned amid the spot-fixing controversy.

Shukla’s resignation will add to the already mounting pressure on the beleaguered president of India's cricket board N. Srinivasan to resign.

On Friday, the resignations of board joint secretary Sanjay Jagdale and treasurer Ajay Shirke threw the running of the cricket body into fresh turmoil
