KARACHI: Cement and banking stocks helped Karachi Stock Exchange gain 184 points to close in the green zone in the face of continued profit-taking here on Thursday.
By the end of the day the benchmark 100-Index beefed up by 0.83 percent, or 184.28 points, to finish higher at 22,276.70.
The Pakistan Oil and Gas Development Co Ltd lost 0.17 percent to settle down at Rs245.02, whereas Maple Leaf Cement Factory Ltd went up by 2.32 percent to close at Rs23.36.
The rupee ended almost steady at 98.47/98.50 against the dollar.
