LAHORE: The Sikh community here on Thursday staged a sit-in and held a protest demonstration against the aggression of Indian forces at Golden Temple on June 6, 1984.

Former PSGPC president Sardar Bishan Singh, Sardar Soarn Singh MPA, Sardar Ravinder Singh and a large number of people from the Sikh community, including women and children, participated in the sit-in outside the Lahore Press Club.

The protesters were carrying banners and placards inscribed with different slogans against Indian forces.

Later, a delegation of the Sikh community went to the Punjab Assembly where they presented a memorandum regarding the Golden Temple incident to newly elected Speaker Rana Muhammad Iqbal. (APP)
